ABSU GOVERNING AUTHORITIES APPROVES 14 DAYS MAINTENANCE OF SOCIAL DISTANCE FOR STAFF.

Following the Governments directive to control the spread of the Coronavirus, the Governing Authorities of Abia State University have advised that only staff on essential duties should come to duty as usual while others should stay at home and safe for the next fourteen (14) days with effect from wednesday, March 25, 2020.
In a release signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor O.M ogbulu, for and on behalf of the Governing authorities, all heads of Departments should select staff that will constitute workforce on essential duties in the Registry, Bursary, Works Services, Security, Physical planning, Library, Student Affairs, and medical services.
The release also mandates the Chief Security Officer to ensure that all students vacate the Hostels and that staff should comply with this directive.
Meanwhile, all the University e- platform will remain fully activated for services to the general public, staff and students
