One of the great achievement of the administration of the Vice Chancellor, Distinguish Professor E. Uche Ikonne , is the improvement of the Synergy and cordial relationship between all Stake holders in the University Community .
Abia State University Women Association ( ABSUWA) under the able Leadership of Lady ( Barrister) Uzoamaka Uche Ikonne,the wife of the Vice Chancellor, has over the past 4 years provided major support to the administration in the areas of spritual, humanitarian, Counseling activities and others.
Recently, ABSUWA extended it’s humanitarian activities to St Vincent De Paul’s home, Umuafai Umuahia, and So- Said Rehabilitation center Ubakala Umuahia where they presented food items like bags of rice, Beans, as well as clothes to these homes.
Speaking on behalf of the President, ABSUWA, Lady (Barrister) Uzoamaka Uche Ikonne, the Secretary Mrs Nnenna Nmaju-Uba explained that one of the cardinal objectives of ABSUWA is to touch the lives of the Less privileged with care and love and help alleviate their challenges as mothers.The representatives of ABSUWA that visited these homes includes
