ABSU IS NOW A JUPEB CENTRE: KUDOS TO MR. VICE CHANCELLOR.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor E. Uche Ikonne announced at the 236th Regular Senate that Abia State University is now a Centre for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme.

According to him, a Team of Officials led by the then JUPEB Registrar and & Chief Executive, Professor Duro Ajayalemi, had on 21 January 2019 conducted a Pre- Affiliation Visit (PAV) to Abia State University. Following the findings and recommendation of the PAV Team, the JUPEB Governing Board on 22 March, 2019 approved that Abia State University be granted Full Affiliation to JUPEB.  The letter of approval has since been delivered to the University.

This means that ABSU is now approved as a Centre for JUPEB Examinations.

We congratulate the Vice Chancellor for this milestone achievement.

With the one- year JUPEB programme, any successful candidate would be qualified to seek admission into second year of his/her choice course in any Nigerian University through JAMB Direct Entry. The beauty of JUPEB Programme is that one does not require to take JAMB Examination (UTME) to be admitted into the University.
