The Vice Chancellor Professor E. Uche Ikonne has challenged the Youths to discover and develop their Talents in order to make meaningful progress in life.
Professor Ikonne stated this, while flagging off the Talent Hunt/Fair, in the 2018 ABSUWA Week, with the theme, MY TALENT, MY FUTURE, at the University Pavilion.
He pointed out that God has blessed us with one Talents and the University through ABSUWA helps to develop such talents in line with the example set by the State Governor.
Earlier in her welcome address, the President of ABSUWA, and wife of the Vice Chancellor, who is also the Permenent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Barrister(Lady) Uzoamaka Uche Ikonne, disclosed that the event is packaged to promote and display the abundant Talents in the University.
In a vote of thanks, a former ABSUWA President, Professor(Mrs) Nnenna Agu Mkpa specially thanked the Vice Chancellor for his support to the wife, and ABSUWA in general and prayed God to continue to strenghten him and the Managment team for greater achievements.
Highpoint of the event was the inspection of the d products by ABSU students on exhibition and a novelty match between ABSUWA and Management, that ended in favour of ABSUWA who won by Two goals to One.
The Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Chief Ginger Onwusibe, the wife of the Chairman, Isukwuato LGA, University Management, some members of Senate, were among dignitaries that graced the occasion.
