The Management of Clifford University, Ihie Owerrinta, has extolled the Administrative abilities and achievements of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor E. Uche Ikonne, within two years in office.
Professor Chimezie A. Omeonu, the Vice-Chancellor, Clifford University made this known, when he led the Management team of the University on a courtesy call to Professor Ikonne.
While extolling the achievements of Professor Ikonne, he said their Management came to acquaint themselves with some of the success strategies of Abia State University that will assist them nurture a new Private University like theirs, with its attendant challenges.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor E. Uche Ikonne said he cherish the University as the closest neighbor, and on behalf of ABSU Management, congratulated the team for pioneering a young University like Clifford. He said the visit is historic and praised the thoughtfulness of the management team for the visit, which he promised will bear fruit for mutual benefit.
According to Professor Ikonne, the visit has laid the foundation for cooperation, and assistance in the areas of administration, accreditation, admission, and others.
He informed the team that the Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD, who is an Adventist, applied and accepted to teach in ABSU, pro-bono, despite his numerous commitments and appurtenances of office, which clearly demonstrate good scholarship and humility.
The Registrar of Clifford University, Dr. Yetunde Ezinwanyi Alozie, who gave a vote of thanks expressed gratitude to the University Management, and promised they will explore the offer of assistances given to them.
