The Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, has appealed for concerted efforts by all stakeholders to tackle the challenge of insecurity in the country, as security should be everyone’s business.
The Vice-Chancellor who disclosed this during a crucial security meeting in the University, reassured staff, students and visitors to the University that Management is leaving no stone unturned at ensuring continued peace and security in and around the University.
He appreciated the uncommon and fatherly support of the Executive Governor and Visitor to the University, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D and other security personnel, describing security as a national challenge which should be addressed holistically.
In their separate speeches, the stakeholders commended the Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu on his rare and pragmatic leadership qualities, describing him as a pacesetter and consummate administrator.
In attendance at the meeting were members of the University Management, representatives of the Army, Police, DSS, Miyetti Allah and Special Adviser to the Governor on security, Capt. Awa Udensi, among others.
