VC FLAGS-OFF TETFUND SPONSORED ICDL TRAINING FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF

The Vice-Chancellor Distinguished Professor O.M Ogbulu has flagged-off International Driven Licencing (ICDL) capacity training for teaching and non-teaching staff of Abia State University.
Addressing participants at the opening of the five(5) days  capacity building workshop, the Vice Chancellor said the training is very important because the world has gone digital, stressing that it would be an opportunity  for Staff to gain in-depth knowledge and the best practices and ways to use ICT to support education.
He said, it will also make participants know the best Applications, Web platforms and ICT solutions for lecturers and other staff.
Professor Ogbulu expressed optimism that there would be increased ICT skills among the participants, urging them to take the training serious.
The VC appreciated TETFUND for it’s commitment in ensuring quality education in the University through capacity building.
Earlier, the Director of ICS Professor O.C Ugbogu while speaking on the importance of the training, explained that the International Computer-driven Licencing training is an ICT support interventions by TETFund .
He noted that the aim of the capacity building programme organized for both teaching and non-teaching staff of the University is to keep them abreast of the modern technology in teaching and learning.
The training commenced on Monday, 7th June and will end by 11th June 2021. All the participants would be issued Internationally recognized certificates at the end of the training. Attachments area
