ABSU ABIOLA HOSTEL FIRE DISASTER: GOVERNOR OKEZIE IKPEAZU, Ph.D APPROVES IMMEDIATE REPAIRS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO AFFECTED STUDENTS

The Governor and Visitor to Abia State University, *Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D,* has graciously approved the immediate repairs of the section of Abiola Hostel, Abia State University, recently gutted by fire, as well as, financial assistance to the Students officially allocated to the rooms affected by the inferno.

The Vice-Chancellor, *Distinguished Professor E. Uche Ikonne,* who disclosed this, described the Governor’s kind gesture as an uncommon display of magnanimity, love for humanity and development of Education, particularly at this time of the Corona Virus pandemic.

The Vice-Chancellor promised to ensure that the approved financial assistance will be judiciously used for the repairs and in aid of the affected Students.

On behalf of Management, Staff and Students of the University, the Vice-Chancellor expressed the deep appreciation of the University Community for the Paternal show of love and pledged its continued loyalty to the inspirational and Education-friendly Administration of the Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D.
