The Vice Chancellor, Abia State University, Professor E. Uche Ikonne, have felicitated the, Vice Chancellor, University Management, and Governing Authorities of Paul University, Awka, on her 9th Matriculation of Undergraduates, and 23rd matriculation of Postulants, which took place Thursday 7th March 2019, at the University Auditorium.
In an address, Professor Ikonne who was the Guest Speaker on the occasion equally congratulated the Matriculating Students for successfully sailing through the examinations and securing admission into this highly revered faith- based Institution.
According to him, the quality of the convocation day of a student is determined by the height of commitment devoted to the determinants of the Students’ undergraduate life from the day of matriculation, and charged them not only to acquire knowledge from their lecturers, but in addition, good character, that will help them excel in life.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of Paul University, Professor Uche Isiugo Abanihe, explained that the University is anchored on core values of spirituality, excellence, and moral rectitude to be an enviable Institution, a model for faith based University in the country, with predictable academic calendar, producing enterprising graduates and future leaders of tomorrow.
The Proprietor, Paul University, Most Reverend, Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma, Pro Chancellor, and Chairman Governing Council, Engineer, Sir, Chris Okoye, Members of Governing Council, University Management, as well as Parents and Guardians of the Matriculating Students, graced the occasion.
