Dr. Kate Ndukauba, a teacher of many years’ experience, has a B.A. (Education/French) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an M.A. in Translation from University of Calabar, Calabar and a Ph.D in Translation from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Before joining the services of Abia State University in 1996, she taught in various secondary schools across the nation with her Nigeria Certificate in Education obtained from Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri and a Diplôme Supérieur d’ Etudes Françaises from the Université de Grenoble III, France. Presently, she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University. Her publications are in the areas of language, literature, translation and translation criticism.

She has served in many University and Government Committees. She has participated in many conferences and workshops both at home and abroad. She speaks four languages (Igbo, Yoruba, English and French) and is widely travelled. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Okigwe.

Dr. Kate Ndukauba has served as Head, Department of Foreign Language and Translation Studies for five years and is a Reader in the Department. She is currently the Director, Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) in the University and represents the Senate in the Governing Council of University.

Dr. Kate Ndukauba is married to Barr. John Ndukauba and they are blessed with children and grandchildren.
