ABSU Gets New Chief Security Officer

 

 

 

Commander Thankgod Ikechukwu Evulobi (Rtd) have been appointed Chief Security Officer of Abia State University.He is a retired but not tired Naval Officer.

CDR. T.I Ikechukwu holds Bachelor degree in Education/Economics from University of Portharcourt, Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA-HRMgt) from Lagos State University.

He attended various military institutions and programmes over the years including Naval Collage Onne Porthacourt, Command and Staff College Jaji etc.

He held several appointments in the Nigerian Navy. Due to his outstanding performance on the Senior Staff Course, he was appointed Commandant Armed forces Command and Staff College Secondary Jaji, Kaduna, Nigerian Navy Secondary school Porthacourt and Abeokuta respectively.

In the course of a distinguished service in the Nigerian Navy, CDR. Ikechukwu earned several prestigious awards including the Silver Jubilee Medal, ECOMOG Medal, Forces Service Star, and Meritorious Service Star and Passed Staff Course (PSC+) .

He has served as a Resource person to many military, academic, and social events including a guest lecturer on the anniversary of Naval College Kaduna.

He is a recipient of many awards from diverse bodies in recognition of his security achievements, administrative ingenuity and service oriented disposition to humanity including an Award from the Security and Intelligence gathering council, as Most gallant officer of the year 2011; the Ochiagha nke mbu of Ike-Ahaba Autonomous Community.

Above all, he is a committed Christian as well as a perfect family man who enjoys love and support from his immediate and extended families.
